Temerarious(brave), achiever, keen are not all the ways to describe an elegant wonderful mother to 12, daughter, sister, and wife. As someone with such great qualities life has never been so easy, but as Robert H Schuller once said"Tough times never last, but tough people do". In which this case James Mcbridge mother always kept going when people tried to pull her down and never gave up on what was important to her, such as her children and her fellow acquaintances from church. As a white women raising 12 children on her own in a poverty stricken city was always frowned upon. Due to the fact that a white women was raising 12 African American children by herself. I feel bliss knowing that I can connect to the author of the book in a way that many other children can't. Such as having a mother not there every second of the day.
